End User License Agreement

1. License
CortexDJ (“the Software”) is licensed, not sold. Subject to these terms (and, for paid plans, payment), you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use it on computers you own or control.
2. Activation & Computers
The Software is unlocked with a license key that is emailed to you — a free key on download, or a Pro/Lifetime key on purchase. Every key (free or paid) may be activated on up to two (2) computers at the same time. Reinstalling or updating on an already-activated computer does not use an extra slot; to move to a new computer, contact support@cortexdj.com and we will free a slot. You may not share, resell or publish your key.
3. Editions
The Free edition is free forever for personal use and includes analysis, the AI auto-mix/mashups, library and live decks, and rendering mixes to a file. Pro (subscription) and Lifetime (one-time) additionally unlock MIDI controller support, recording (audio and video) and live-streaming, plus priority support. Lifetime purchases include a 30-day money-back guarantee; subscription refunds follow the checkout provider's terms.
4. Restrictions
You may not reverse engineer or circumvent the license mechanism except as permitted by law, redistribute the Software, or use it to infringe third-party rights — including by mixing, recording, streaming or distributing audio/video you are not licensed to use.
5. Your Content
You are solely responsible for the media you load, mix, record and broadcast, and for obtaining all necessary rights and licenses (publishing, performance, mechanical, sync and platform rights) for any public performance, recording or live stream you create.
6. Third-Party Software
The Software includes third-party components under their own licenses, including FFmpeg. Your use of those components is subject to those licenses.
7. No Warranty
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, ARE DISCLAIMED.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE LICENSOR IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS OR GIGS.
9. Termination
This license terminates automatically on breach. On termination you must stop using and remove the Software.
10. Governing Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the United States and the state of the Licensor’s principal place of business; mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected.
